Ward Roberts

"Billions" by Ward Roberts

Ward Roberts was born in Australia, and after living abroad in Hong Kong for a number of years, he relocated to Melbourne in 1994. Ward graduated with distinction from RMIT university with a Bachelor of Arts in photography. At a young age he has achieved international recognition as an emerging artist.

‘48 Hours’ is his most awarded work. It serie presents naked bodies floating in a thick, black abyss. Roberts created the images using underwater photography, an intense and laboured task. Each perfectly exposed and inventively composed image in the series is testament to the artist’s painstaking approach and meticulous attention to detail.
